Hi,
I've been connecting my two ARPs to my mioXL MIDI interface via USB but find that because the devices have the same device ID they sometimes switch their host ports.
Is it possible in a future firmware update to have the ability to add a unique device ID to each?
The screenshot shows what I see in the mioXL on HST7 and HST8. I know I can use MIDI DIN IN/OUT but wanted to avoid also needing to power via USB too.
Cheers

Hi,
I am trying to understand the scope of what's possible with the new MIDI CC modulations. Am I right in my understanding that MIDI CC changes are still only sent to the global CC Output MIDI channel, and not the MIDI channel assigned to the ARP track itself?
Does this mean that with a no-DAW setup I am unable to send MIDI CC changes to more than one device – for example, controlling the cutoff of all four synths?
Cheers

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a template project in my DAW that includes one track that will be for the chords sent to the ARP via MIDI OUT, and then VST tracks for the 4 ARP tracks using MIDI IN.
I'm using an iConnectivity MioXL with MIDI DIN cables. Power is coming from USB-powered plug, so not connected to my Mac.
This setup technically works but I am finding that there is a latency when changing chords the result of which means that chords appear to change on the second beat of a bar.
I've tried a few alternate configurations of the MIDI devices with the MioXL but I don't seem to be able to fix it.
Are others having more success with this sort of setup - where the DAW is playing the ARP, but also receiving the 4 MIDI channels.
MIDI Control Mode = IN, MIDI Input = Ch 16, ARP Tracks = Ch 1,2,3,4, MIDI Output = DIN Only

Hi again :) After a little more playing over the weekend I would like to suggest having the ability to set the upper and lower notes for a sequencer.
You currently have the ability to have a note limit but this can still take the notes outside of the range of an instrument. You've spoken about this in one of your YouTube videos.
This will help keep classical instruments within their real ranges - I'm thinking orchestral instruments.
The flute in the attached example is a case in point. I manually fixed the extreme notes in the DAW to keep them in range. Other than the flute the rest is made from 7 ARP tracks ... 2 patches as I only have one ARP ... if budget allows I'd have 2 two more and program a whole orchestra!!
Another feature that would be good is similar to the drone mode, but within the arp/mono mode. This would help to avoid repeated notes in a melodic phrase. In another piece (not this note) I have a violin melody which would be better if these notes were to get joined.
But regardless of these potential improvements the ARP is absolutely incredible. I'm sure others have discovered this already but I'm blown away by what it can produce with the libraries I like to use.
Cheers

Patches and banks are already a useful feature but I wonder whether a song or project mode might be possible that is made of a group of patches.
For me this would be useful to allow each project to have different tempos and chords. For example I might have a higher tempo piece using stand chords, but another slow tempo piece using a series of custom chords.
I know a bank and it's patches are somewhat capable of this already, but the tempo and chords are what would set a project apart for me. Patch changes would be nice to for each ARP.
Kind regards
Mark
