Hi again :) After a little more playing over the weekend I would like to suggest having the ability to set the upper and lower notes for a sequencer.
You currently have the ability to have a note limit but this can still take the notes outside of the range of an instrument. You've spoken about this in one of your YouTube videos.
This will help keep classical instruments within their real ranges - I'm thinking orchestral instruments.
The flute in the attached example is a case in point. I manually fixed the extreme notes in the DAW to keep them in range. Other than the flute the rest is made from 7 ARP tracks ... 2 patches as I only have one ARP ... if budget allows I'd have 2 two more and program a whole orchestra!!
Another feature that would be good is similar to the drone mode, but within the arp/mono mode. This would help to avoid repeated notes in a melodic phrase. In another piece (not this note) I have a violin melody which would be better if these notes were to get joined.
But regardless of these potential improvements the ARP is absolutely incredible. I'm sure others have discovered this already but I'm blown away by what it can produce with the libraries I like to use.
Cheers
Mark
This attachment illustrates how the tied note arp/mono feature could improve the violin melody.
My process for the flute line was to remove the out-of-range notes, remove a couple of the same notes after eachother, and then change lengths to become a legato phrase. All of which my suggestion above could acheice automatically to produce the same
