Change the bar lenght

Hi, I just saw your reply regarding the issue I was having with setting up the ARP in 5/4 in Bitwig. You mentioned that it's not possible to change the bar length in the ARP, and that it remains fixed at 96 ticks. So my feature request would definitely be to have control over that length! :) I use your machine a lot, but playing outside of standard 4-count signatures and syncing it with other drum machines and synths is turning out to be quite complex...

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this.

Diverse interface requests

Hey everyone !

Here is a summary of diverse requests I had for the past year playing with the wonderful arp, and that would make it even more wonderful. Some of them have already been requested by others.

  • Main need : After changing the value with an encoder (macro or main), clicking the encoder knob to get back to your first loaded value

  • Main need : Allowing to choose to assign different destinations to macroknobs within each patch, instead of just general assignations (EG. macroknob1 destination set to pitch in Bank1 pat1 and to steps in Bank1 pat2)

  • Main need : Naming patches and displaying their name when selected (for instance at the bottom left of the screen before the Bank and patch numbers, or instead of the "Arp settings" title on the screen)

  • Main need : Adding the possibility to have alternative chords and scales related and locked to…

It's a good suggestion. I've had another request to make this option per track. I'll look into it and add it to the future features list.

Associate chord chain with patch

I love the chord chain feature but think it would be useful if you could 'pin' a saved chord chain to a patch. It's great that there's a separate pool of chains you can save to and draw from across patches, but for my workflow I make chord chains very specifically for the patch I'm working on. So switching patches then remembering to switch chains is confusing, especially when performing live. I've also ended up overwriting chains because I forget chains aren't saved with patches.

I can see how this would be useful and how it might be achieved, however, I have a couple of concerns/queries...

Would you want the associated chain to be applied immediately on loading a patch or would it be acceptable to load it manually?

If you associated, say, chain 1 with patch 1, then changed patch, then editted the chain, then loaded patch 1, would you be ok with chain 1 having changed?

This later point is difficult to overcome given the limited storage space ARP has.
