It's always amazing how open you are to suggestions from users. Truly exceptional. I understand that you want to maintain maximum flexibility. There's nothing wrong with that. But I also like MIDICake precisely because of the simplicity of achieving musical results relatively quickly and efficiently. Especially for live improvisations. Chord Scale would additionally support this, especially for people like me who have experience with chords that match the scale. Your concept would be more than sufficient.

I have tried out the suggestion with the delay over 32 bars. It certainly produces an interesting effect with which you can work musically. For the phazing technique aka Reich, however, the resolution is too low for my liking. I understand that the to adjust the length of the bar independently per arp is not exactly at the top of the priority list. The phazing technique is a special application. The tip with the delay is an interesting option.

The features outlined would suit perfectly. In chord chain mode, I could also imagine the possibility to edit the length of each chord like 4 beats/bar, 3 beats/bar, etc. Second, offer the available chords to a scale, for example: Select F Dorian as scale, then chords I-VII below will be offered: Fmin, Gmin, Abmaj, Bbmaj, Cmin, Ddim, Ebmaj.
