After a month with MidiCake I am pleased with its performance character. The two things I really miss are:
A function to reset an arp channel to some default value
I know, it's mentioned elsewhere. That I cannot save chord progression chains (like the NDLR) Daniel
Both "Reset Arp Channels" and "Save Chord Progressions" are features on the roadmap (and something I really want, too). They won't be in the upcoming update, but most likely in the next: - Below is a rough draft of the new features. I'd be grateful for any thoughts or suggestions you have.
RESET PATCH FEATURE Press and hold RESET, then...
Press 1 (C) to reset the selected parameter to its original value (i.e. when the patch was loaded. Changing the patch will still save your edits)
Press 3 (D) to reset all parameters for the selected arp to their original values (factory patch)
Press 5 (E) to reset to a basic preset (single-step sequence, nothing fancy)
Press 6 (F) to perform a wildcard shuffle of all parameter
Continue to hold RESET to enter BIOS menu
CHORD CHAIN IMPROVEMENTS
Press Program to enter Chord Chain mode.
Last chain is reloaded when entering Chord Chain Mode.
Use Load and Copy buttons with Note Buttons to change and duplicate chain
Use Up/Down buttons to set Chord Chain Resolution (1/8th to 32 bars)
Use load/reset combo to clear step
Hold reset to clear all.
Possibly extend to 64 chords in chain
(Please note that these are goals rather than commitments and we can't set any specific dates for release. Doing so puts too much pressure on us to deliver and potentially let people down.)
