Moving midi onto next level

Thankyou for the wonderful support and for v7.
Okay after using the midicake with the roland SH4D for most of the year. moving on to trying to connect 4 devices at one.
bought a dore midihub
DOREMiDi NEW HUB-8 MIDI 6x6 USB MIDI Host x2 USB 3.1 MIDI Hub Box
is this where I connect everything up with 1 device as channel 1, next as channel 2 and so on...
do i suck my teeth and say its almost too easy. sorry I know these are noob questions and I sincerely appreciated your time and thoughts. (I also saw in another thread that the midi hub was a problem and wondered if there was anything more on that).
