I'd like to alter the length of notes (note: not the gate length, but the actual time between when a note is triggered and when the next one is) so I can have the ARP play an alternating rhythm such as half, half, quarter, quarter, quarter, quarter (repeat), or more intricate or complex things. Ideally I'd like to have this be something like the way bounce works only instead of the note selection being altered, it's the timing/duration. This would allow rhythmic interplay with the lengths and offsets.
Is something like this possible with any of the current features? I still haven't wrapped my head around how it all works yet, though I'm starting to get a grip on it.
I think Rhythm Pattern might be what you are looking for. You have 16 steps and you can mute individual steps to create rests or tie steps together to create held notes. You may need to increase the Time parameter to give you more steps per bar. Please note that muted or tied steps will not be played. For example. if you had a 4 step sequence of 1,2,3,4 and tied the third step, the output would be 1,2,-,4. The 3rd step note would not be played on step 4. ARP's patterns are deterministic so this is the way it is designed to work. I hope that helps. :)
