How would I program chords in different inversions. I quite like to do 1st inversion chords.

Currently there is no direct way to apply chord inversions using ARP's Note and Chord buttons. However, this is on the roadmap for a future update. We have a completed design for chord inversions to be applied manually and in Chord Chains.
In the mean time, ARP supports chord inversions via an external keyboard.
Alternatively, you can use the Note Offset parameter to shift one or more tracks up and down the Chord/Scale, simulating the effect of different chord positions. You could even assign Note Offset to a macro, to apply this on the fly.
