Hello Chris,

I did exactely the same with a windows machine and it worked. If you download Teensy with the link given with OS big Sur, that beta version is downloaded. On a windows machine the correct Teensy is downloaded and the upgrade works. I'm so happy that its not an RME and doesn't need to be sent back... I hope the Mac Os download will not give you a wave of the same issues of users. . . Now its party time. Labworx Rudi

That's great! I'm so glad you got it sorted.

I will try it on my mac, then contact the teensy guys and advise them of the issue. I hadn't noticed that the teensy downloads page had been updated recently.

It seemed unlikely to be the LCD screen, a big coincidence if it was. :) Just for info, the screen wouldn't be a return, I'd just send you a replacement at our cost. No need though now.

Will the V7 firmware update keep all current arp settings? I am just working on a project and like to use the new modulation features but don’t want to loose anything.

No, you won't lose any of the patch settings. It should be fine.

Hi I downloaded FW 1.5.7 imported the .hex file in Teensy pushed auto on and pushed the dipswitch on the Midicake. Now the units screen remains white and nothing works anymore? Any tips to get it running again? Labworx Rudi

Hi Rudi, I'm so sorry to hear you're having issues with the update. Don't worry, I will ensure we have a solution for you, one way or another. There are a couple of things to try: 1) Please check that you are using the latest version of the Teensy Loader (I think this is version 1.56) - https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/loader.html 2) Please also check that you downloaded the correct version. You have a Mark 2 ARP, so you need to download v1.5.7.4819 - https://www.midicake.com/downloads 3) If it is still not working, please try installing the previous V6 version, which you can download from the same page. If that still isn't working then perhaps the screen has an issue and will need replacing but this is unlikely. Try these things first and please let me know how you get on. Thanks. Chris

I already tried all of the above before sending the message.

The latest version of Teensy is 1.59Beta3 could that be the problem? Factory reset also doesnt work.

I have just tested with Teensy Loader 1.58 and it works OK. It may be worth using this version rather than the Beta. Please try this and let me know. Also, just to confirm, you have tried loading the old v6 firmware? If you have tried all 3 suggestions and it is still not working it is likely to be a problem with the LCD screen. I would be happy to send you a replacement screen. ARP was designed to be modular so components could be easily replaced. I will email you directly and arrange to get one shipped to you. Cheers Chris
